Babbel needed a spot that would differentiate them as the choice learning to converse in a foreign language, not just learn phrases and vocabulary.
The goal was to showcase the Babbel ecosystem as the solution to this problem, emphasising their focus on real-world conversational learning, live classes and expert coaching.
With strong competitors in the industry a solid hook was key, so we devised a way to address the key problem head on in the script – opening with 2 people having a conversation. This allowed us to immediately highlight the problem in a light hearted manner, before presenting Babbel as the solution in a natural way following on from the conversation.
A clear visual style with an upbeat, pacey edit takes the audience through the journey of the platform without getting bogged down in intricate details, instead focusing on the key, relatable aspects of features. The ad culminates with a positive resolution that highlights Babbel’s effectiveness, reinforced by a return to the conversation and a clear indication of progress.
